Love Your Enemies

Luke 6:27-28 KJV But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Look to 1 Corinthians 13 to see what love is and then apply those actions to your enemies. The definition of enemyContinue reading “Love Your Enemies”

Patient Christ Followers

Jesus demonstrated patience in the scriptures listed below. We are to exemplify Christ-like behavior (Ephesians 5:1-2). We have no right to judge (Matthew 7:1), speak evil (Titus 3:2), or treat harshly anyone at any time (1 Timothy 5:1-2). We are told that we are to love God and to love others, yes even our enemies.Continue reading “Patient Christ Followers”

God is Our Shield

I love the honestly behind this psalm. I love how candidly David talked with You. He didn’t hold anything back. He knew You as His friend, Confidant, Judge and Protector. He kept things real.

Magnitude of God

He created the heavens and the earth(Genesis 1:1). He created all the things in them. He breathed life into man and man became a living being. He is all-powerful and all knowing. He is light and in Him is no darkness (1 John 1:5). Our God can do anything.

Dinosaur

Dinosaur definition: a person or thing that is outdated or has become obsolete because of failure to adapt to changing circumstances. Some synonyms are: conservative, traditionalist, diehard and stick-in-the-mud. We need to ban together and not be the dinosaur that has come to extinction. We have a voice and it is time that we stand and useContinue reading “Dinosaur”

The Third Woe of Jesus and Truth of His Word

While hanging on the cross, Jesus cried, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do!” (Luke 23:34) May His mind be in us, (Philippians 2:5), that we could and would forgive those who have wronged us. Also Lord, I pray, that we would do it immediately, without them even having to say they are sorry. Jesus didn’t wait for an apology and neither should we, who are in Christ.

A Firm Foundation

Jesus did not pray for us to have our will be done, rather He prayed for the Father’s will to be done. (Matthew 6:10) As true Christ followers we need to be studying His word to see what we are to do, say and also how we are to act. God will show us. The answer is in His word.

Live As Citizens of Heaven

The word of God says that we need to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Why is that important? Because others are looking at our lives. What are they looking in at? Will they see us acting the way that the Bible says for us to act? In everything we do or say, we are to bring honor to His name. That is our calling.
