I pray that eyes are opened, hearts are touched and lives are changed by the power of Your word.
You are so special and unique in His eyes (Isaiah 43:4). You were created by the God of the universe and your life has meaning and purpose (Psalm 139:13).
Father, we know that You delight in loyalty over sacrifices (Hosea 6:6). Thank You for creating in us a hunger and desire to know You more and to grow in Your grace and righteousness (Matthew 5:6). On our own we can do nothing (John 15:5), but through You we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).
Salt is a preserver. We are the salt of the earth. The moral compass of the world. We are the ones trying to do the right things for the right reasons. But, and If, we lose that desire, how will the world see how they are supposed to act in matters of justice, love and mercy?
The next time we are offended, say Father forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing. Then ask Him to help us not to be hurt, to lay it at His feet and leave it there. Quit watering the root of bitterness and let The Great Gardener remove any root of bitterness we may have buried in our heart.
