A Call to prayer

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

1 Timothy 2:1-6 NKJV

The meaning of supplication is the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly: example “he fell to his knees in supplication.” The definition of prayer is- a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. Intercession means pleading to God on behalf of others. Giving of thanks is expressing gratitude or showing appreciation.

Father God,
Thank You for this day. Thank You for Your word. Thank You for daily communing with us. Thank You that we never have to walk alone. Help us to slow down and fully digest Your word. We do not want to skim over anything and miss the full content behind each word. Thank You for telling us how to pray. We do humble ourselves and ask that You lead us by the power of Your Holy Spirit living inside of our hearts. We beg You for the salvation of all people. We know salvation is a gift from You. It is not Your will that any perish. We pray for those who govern us. If they are not saved, we ask that You give them another opportunity to accept Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Open their eyes to see that there is no other way to You than through Him. Keep Your children in the perfect center of Your will-Your plan for our lives. Give us the strength to accomplish what You would have us to accomplish. We surrender our all to You and are so thankful to be called Your children. Let our life point others to You. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. We continue to ask for peace in Israel. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
