A disciple honors God with his finances, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2
8 “Will a man rob God?
Malachi 3:8-10 NKJV
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
9 You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
Father God,
Your word says that You love a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). May we give joyously to You and out of our abundance have enough to give extra offerings as You lead us by Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for all of the wisdom that we receive from Your word. May we be doers and not hearers only (James 1:21) and may we be able to show others the truth about joyous, and selfless giving.
Please bring peace to Israel. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
