Too Late

Ephesians 4:15 NKJV but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ

Why do we wait until it’s too late to say the things we want to say to a person?  Why do we shy away from bearing our hearts to another? Why is love so hard to show? What is the barrier that keeps us from expressing our love for others?

When did we become so cold, hardened even callous to others? We need to stop that. Enough is enough! Take the time to get things right. Whisper I love you, You are special to me because…, I love the way you….etc etc. You get the point.

Open ourselves up to love.  There is joy, peace and satisfaction in it. If we get rejected oh well. Just keep loving, reaching out and being vulnerable. God will never leave us nor forsake us.

The blessings that come from it far outweigh the potential of exposing ourselves to being hurt. So go ahead and speak the truth in love to everyone you love. Speak the truth as if today were your last day on earth because indeed it just might be.

Let’s purposefully live our lives in such a way that nothing gets left unsaid. In every life that we touch let’s open ourselves up to the possibility of rejection yes let’s be vulnerable with each other. Let’s tell one another that we love each other, that we are valuable and treasured, that we are good and that their presence in our life makes life that much better. Let’s say it all now and open ourselves up before it is….TOO late. God bless everyone. As my 11 year old daughter would say…You got this.

Father God,

We need Your help in the area of love. Help us to love everyone as You did. Oh, we pray for a massive anointing in this area. Help us to see through eyes of love, hear through ears of love, speak through a heart full of love and a mind meditating on You and Your great love. May we make You happy with our words, thoughts and actions for we ask in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
