Warped and Crooked

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who calls out to Me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of My Father in heaven will enter.  On judgment day many will say to Me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name and cast out demons in Your name and performed many miracles in Your name.’  But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.’

Philippians 2:12-15 Therefore, My dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in My presence, but now much more in My absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.

Most holy heavenly Father,

We adore You. Thank You for always being here for us. Time after time Your arms of love, mercy and compassion are wrapped around us. You are great, Lord, and so worthy of our praises. Thank You for comforting and strengthening us. We love You. Boy these are some words that we never want to hear You say to us, “I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.” You are righteous, holy, just and true. We know that You will be saying that to those who do not know You. Those who continue to sin and break Your laws. Oh, how sad for them. It is a place I hate to see anyone in, eternal separation from You, oh, God. Please open people’s eyes to the truth of Your word. Everyone needs to wake up as this is serious business.

We need to be doing the right things for the right reasons at all times. Help us to be blameless and pure before You. I see You, even now, lighting up the skies with Your children. We are like stars in the sky. We will hold firmly to the word of life. Your word is our clear direction. Help us to look to You for our answers. Give us the strength to stand firm in our belief. We will not go to the left or to the right, floundering like ships tossed in a storm (Proverbs 4:27 & Ephesians 4:14). Rather, we will go strong being rooted and grounded in our most holy faith, depending wholeheartedly on You, no matter what comes our way (Ephesians 3:17). In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  1. Hi Donna, Thank you for posting this truthful message it is very hard to push forward at times to represent Jesus Christ, but it is very rewarding in the end to hear the Father in Heaven say, Welcome home faithful servant of Yahweh!

  2. Ah yes, “time after time [our dear Lord’s] arms of love, mercy and compassion are wrapped around us.” I pray with you, {{{Donna}}} – Dear Heavenly Father, “Help us to be blameless and pure before You.” I know that’s a tall order… but God is all powerful, so maybe there is hope for us. You think? ❤

    1. Hi (((Jan))). Hope you are doing well. There is hope. The bible says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13)I believe as long as our motives are right, He will help us. A lot comes down to personal decisions. Do we obey what we know to be true, whatever that may be, or do we listen to lies or a glossed over version of the truth. Jesus said You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. (John 8:32) As long as we keep on striving to be holy for He is holy, we will be okay. (1 Peter 1:16) We just have to remember to confess our known sins and ask Him to help us not do them anymore. (1 John 1:9) He is able. Sorry, I gave you the long response lol.
