Affirmations

An affirmation is a statement or proposition that is declared to be true. We feed and have in the past fed ourselves untrues, that are not scriptural, long enough. It is time to give our minds truth according to the word of God. His word is irrefutable. So let’s see what He has to say about who we are.

I have been given a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

God is for me, not against me. (Romans 8:31)

I am highly valued by God. (Galatians 2:20)

I am a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I am royalty. (1 Peter 2:9)

I am accepted. (Romans 10:9-13)

I will fear no evil for God is with me. (Psalm 23:4)

We wouldn’t tell a child anything bad like; you are stupid, you can’t do anything right, what’s the matter with you, you are a failure, you are unwanted, you are not loved or a slew of other untruths. My question is, why do we feed it to ourselves? Start telling yourself what you know to be true according to the word of God. He loves you. (John 3:16)

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)

The hairs on your head are numbered. (Luke 12:6-7)

God has good things planned for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

He knows you by name. (Isaiah 43:1 & John 10:14-15)

He loves you. (Romans 5:8)

There are so many positive things, that are in accordance with the word of God, we can say to ourselves. How about we look in His word and start feeding ourselves His trues?! Let me know in the comments section what are some of your favorite scriptures that show His value over you.

Heavenly Father,

You have given us so much truth in the pages of Your holy word. Thank You for giving us everything that we need to rightly understand who we are in You. We are not to be proud, haughty, puffed up or think we know it all. (Proverbs 16:18) We are only to know what great love You have for us. We are humbled by that knowledge. (James 4:6) To think we are of such value to You, the God of the universe! Wow! Thank You Lord. We love You. Help us to digest the truths of who we are in You. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) May we, as Your humbled, loving servants represent You well. (2 Corinthians 5:21) In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  2. Ah, the translation of Romans 8:31 that I treasure is: “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” And the answer… No one! At least their arrows cannot pierce the faith in my heart! I acknowledge with you, {{{Donna}}}, and pray to God saying: “Thank You for giving us everything that we need to rightly understand who we are in You. ” And I thank God for His strength in me. Have a Terrific Tuesday. ❤
