Two is Better than One

Mark 6:6b-7 NIV Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village. Calling the Twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits.

Two by two in discipleship was wise then and is wise now. Two is better than one. When you have someone with you, there is encouragement and support from each other (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). You can pray while the other speaks. It helps to resist in temptations and gives more power over the enemy (James 4:7 & Deuteronomy 32:30).

Father God,

Thank You for all of the good gifts that You give to us, Your children. You bless us continually and we appreciate everything You do for us. We are sure there are things that You are doing that we do not even see. You are wise, loving, kind and compassionate. Thank You for the guidance in Your word. As we go out to minister to others, may we go forth, when possible, in twos. We give You all of the praise and we ask all things in Jesus name. Amen.

  1. Good afternoon, {{{Donna}}} – I am joining you in the affirmation to God, admitting, “We are sure there are things that You are doing that we do not even see.” May I embrace patience as I sit in this “waiting room.” ❤
