Romans 8:28 NASB And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
John 15:16 NASB You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
We can agree through scripture reading that we have been called by the Lord according to His purpose. We know also that all things work together for our good. Our job is to bear fruit. We are not to take our talents and bury them, but we have to seek God as to what He wants us to do with whatever talent He has given us.
1 Peter 2:20-21 NASB For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God. For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.
Sometimes we will suffer unfairly. This is also in the bible. This is a part of what we have been called for. We have to patiently endure it, which then we will find favor with God. We have to follow in His steps.
2 Timothy 1:9 NASB who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity
2 Peter 1:10-11 NASB Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
Read all of the first chapter of 2nd Peter and you will see what things we are to practice. (Goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, Godliness, mutual affection, love)
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NASB Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
God will sanctify us and cleanse us, if we allow Him. It is when His Holy Spirit reveals something from the word of God to us that we have the opportunity to ask God to forgive and cleanse us from it thereby removing it from our life. I cannot stress enough the importance of being in His word. Please draw near to Him today where there is true peace and joy. Pray with me please,
Lord, You are faithful. Your promises are true. You have said that we will find You when we seek for You with all of our hearts. (Deuteronomy 4:29) Today we seek You, Father. We turn away from the old way of thinking and turn our eyes to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) He is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to You but through Him. (John 14:6)We come to You in the mighty name of Jesus asking You Lord to continue working in our lives. Reveal to each of us what Your individual calling is for our lives. We pray that we would all be in the perfect center of Your will. We ask You to help us to continue to die to the flesh and live in the Spirit. (Romans 8:13) Open our eyes, anoint them with eye salve that we might see. (Revelation 3:18) Pierce our hearts with the beauty of Your word. Cleanse us and we will be whiter than snow. (James 4:8) Lord, Your word says my people perish for a lack of knowledge, (Hosea 4:6) let this not be in us. We so want You to say, “Well done thou good and faithful one.” (Matthew 25:21) Have Your way in us, your children. In Jesus name, Amen
