Get Right With God

What does it mean to get right with God? Well, first we need to realize that there is a God. (Hebrews 11:6) Then we have to understand that sin has separated us from Him, because He is a holy and righteous God. (Romans 3:23) Sin is the bad things that we might think, do or say. Sin came into the world through Adam and Eve. We, therefore, were all born under this curse. (Romans 5:12) Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of Eden and out from God’s presence because they sinned against God. (Genesis 3:22-24)

There is no forgiveness of sins except through a blood sacrifice. (Hebrews 9:22) In the Old testament they had to sacrifice different animals, but, when Christ came to this earth, He became the One and Only Sacrifice that we would ever need. Through His life, death and resurrection, He bridged the gap that is between God and mankind. (John 3:16)

So how do we get to heaven? It is through our belief. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, (1 John 4:15) and He is the Son of man. (Matthew 9:6) Believe that He came to this earth, died, was buried and on the third day, God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches. (Acts 2:32, Romans 4:25, 6:4 & 1 Corinthians 15:4) Believe that when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts and to forgive us for our sins, that it is finished (John 3:16 & Acts 16:31), the gap is filled. He becomes Lord of our life. We then get to go to heaven to be with the Lord when we die. (John 14:1-6) There is no more separation from God. (Romans 8:38-39) Then we start living for Him and growing in the wonderful knowledge of Him.

Daily we learn from His Holy Bible every day what we should do, say and believe. His word is our instruction book for this life. We study to show ourselves approved unto God. (2 Timothy 2:15) We slowly grow into the image that He has prepared in advance for us to be. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 & Ephesians 2:10) And we pray (talk to God) about everything. He loves us and is very concerned with every aspect of our lives. Please make the prayer below one of the many times that you will fellowship with Him. Every day start by praying. (Philippians 4:6-7) Just say Hi God. Ask for His help. Praise Him for everything He has done. Talk to Him about your life, your kids, your parents…..any and every thing. He cares and He wants to hear from you, His dearly loved child.

If you do not know Jesus, or are on the fence about getting saved and making Him Lord of your life, I implore you to make that decision today. You do not have to do anything except believe in Him and say this little prayer asking Him in. He is knocking on your hearts door today. (Revelation 3:20) Will you let Him in?

Dearest heavenly Father, I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Your Son. (Romans 10:9-13) I believe that Jesus came to this earth, lived and died and on the third day He rose again, for my sins. I admit that I am a sinner and that the bad things I have done have kept me from You. I repent and ask for You to forgive me for my sins. Right now I ask Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

If you have said that prayer, please let me know in the comments or reach me through email at luckd61@yahoo.com so that I can rejoice with you and all of heaven. God bless you my new brother or sister in Christ. Stay close to Him through prayer and in His word.

Jesus is Lord! There is no way to the Father, except through Him. Believe! Repent! Follow Him!

2 Corinthians 6:2 NASB

for He says,

“At a favorable time I listened to you,
And on a day of salvation I helped you.”
