Qedosh Yisrael is the Hebrew name for God meaning Holy One Of Israel.
This is the pronunciation: ke-DOSH yis-ra-AIL
Our God is holy. His very nature and essence of being radiate His holiness. God also refers to Himself as the Holy One of Israel in 2 Kings 19:22.
Leviticus 19:1-2 NKJV And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. God has provided a way for us to be holy too.
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior, everything bad about us gets put on Him and everything good about Him gets put on us. There is no more separation from God. Jesus is the Way to the Father. With the power of His Holy Spirit we are to submit to God and try really hard to please Him in all we think, do or say.
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Jesus is our High Priest. He is holy. He knows our weaknesses and He sympathizes with us. Let us come boldly to our Holy God to find mercy and grace. He will help us (Hebrews 4:14-16).
We are so thankful for Your word. You are so awesome and holy. Thank You for the direction that You give to us and the mercy and love that You show us. Help us to show others the same mercy and love. We so want to be transformed according to Your word. We want to be better, do better and live better. We know that we will never be perfect but we understand that we are to strive to be perfect. Help us for we so want to be pleasing in Your sight. If there is anything that we need to repent of that is not holy in Your sight, any actions or attitudes that are displeasing to You, please reveal them to us so that we can repent and fill us with more of Your Holy Spirit. Draw us closer to Your side where there is true peace, joy and love. Oh, we long to be closer to You, living life fully immersed in Your presence until the day You take us home. We love You and ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
