Faithful defined is being committed to someone or something. When we are committed how do we act? We stand strong for the other person. When you are committed to a relationship you work at it. You strive for the other person’s happiness and state of emotional and physical well being. You want what is best for that person because you are committed (dedicated, loyal) to them. I say it is time we become faithful and commit ourselves to the Lord.
Proverbs 16:3 NIV Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Psalm 119:105 NASB Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Matthew 4:4 NASB But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
Read His word, gain insight. He said, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6 KJV).
Hebrews 4:12 NASB For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Joshua 1:8 NASB This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
Let’s not be among those who perish for a lack of knowledge. We need to be the bride of Christ, a city on a hill.
Ephesians 5:27 KJV That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Matthew 5:14 KJV Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Hebrews 3:15 NIV As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Todays prayer
Father, You are good. You embody goodness, that is who You are. You are holy. You are everything we need. Right now we ask for Your help to make time in our days to seek You, Lord. If it is an audio so we can listen on the go or if we have to get up 15 minutes earlier than we normally do, or maybe we could stay up 30 minutes past bedtime. Whatever it takes. Lord, I used to love the times that we spent together at 2:30 AM. You have the answer for each of us. We submit to You and Your ways. Help us to walk in a way that is pleasing to You in all we do and all we say. Draw us in to sweet communion with You. Thank You for everything. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

I’ve never been able to sleep the whole night through, so I get up and do a little reading before going back to bed. Yes, that peace and quiet time with God is precious. x

He actually used to wake me up. I was like ok Lord. I never liked getting up early lol. Until I did it with Him. Every day what He gave me from His word would be what I needed for the following day. I would get my cereal and read, pray then go back to bed. God is good and faithful! 🙂 ❤

I agree, Donna Marie, I’ve found that too! He makes sure we get the spiritual food that we need … as well as our cereal. 😊
