Our Hope

Miqweh Yisrael is the Hebrew name for God meaning Hope of Israel.

This is the proper way to pronounce His name MIK-weh-yis-ra-AIL.

Jeremiah 17:13 NKJV

O Lord, the hope of Israel,
All who forsake You shall be ashamed.

“Those who depart from Me
Shall be written in the earth,
Because they have forsaken the Lord,
The fountain of living waters.”

Our God is worthy of our trust just as He is for Israel. He is the Hope of Israel and He is our Hope.

Psalm 71:5 NKJV For You are my hope, O Lord God;
You are my trust from my youth.

Our hope is built on His ability, His devotion, His care for us and His nature. We can trust Him to do that which He has said He will do in His word. God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).

1 Timothy 1:1 NKJV Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope

Dear God,

How wonderful is Your name in all the earth. You are so wonderful! Glorious is Your name. You are good and You long to give good gifts to Your children. We thank You and praise You for Your goodness. You are our Hope. We trust in You. You are our strength. Thank You for being our mighty God. There is nothing that You cannot do. Thank You. Help us to continue to trust You and draw us nearer to Your side. We are safe in Your presence and that is where we always want to be. Thank You for Your love, mercy and forgiveness. Help us to be like You and to do the things which are pleasing to You. We love You and pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
