For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul-Romans 15:4-6 KJV
Everything in the Bible was written for our instruction in Godliness. When we take what we read and apply those things to our lives, we develop in our Christian walk. All things become new. We have hope. Our strength is now in Christ.
We are to be united in Christ’s teachings (Philippians 2:2). Study His word to find out what His doctrine, commands and examples were and wholeheartedly follow Him (2 Timothy 2:15). United we stand and divided we fall. I am sure you have heard the old saying, ‘divide and conquer’ by Julius Caesar. I believe that is satan’s plan also. He wants us to be confused, scared, alone, weak, indecisive and unlearned. Knowledge is power (quote by Francis Bacon). Remember the Lord said, ‘My people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).’
God wants His children to have wisdom (James 1:5) and peace (John 14:27). He provides His children with peace, joy and strength when we bring Him the sacrifice of praise. He anoints us and our cup runs over. We have goodness and mercy following us (Psalm 23:5-6). He has given us so much so we, in turn, need to extend the love, mercy, grace truth and compassion that we have received from God to others as well.
Father God,
Help us to walk in unshakeable and unwavering faith in You. Let our footsteps shatter the darkness. Empower us with the truths of Your word. Write every word on our hearts so that we might not sin against You. We have so much to be thankful for. We praise You for Your amazing goodness. There is no-one like You in all the world. You have simply provided every single thing that we have ever needed. We trust You. You are a good Father. Glory be to Your name. Hallelujah! Strengthen us to accomplish Your purposes for our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Worship the Lord with me please in song.

Yes, “We have hope. Our strength is now in Christ.” We are in the ER at a Napa, CA hospital. Lord, how we need your strength right now! Bob’s terribly congested!

Oh Father, have mercy on Your child Bob. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon him. Restore free breathing to Bob. Let him feel Your power resting on him. Be with my sister Jan. Give her the strength she needs and keep her well. In Jesus’ name. Thank You Lord! We praise You ahead of time for what You are going to do. We cannot wait to sing Your praises over this answered prayer. We love You Lord Jesus.
