Pray for Spiritual Leaders

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;³¹ That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;³² That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

Paul-Romans 15:30-32 KJV

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). We must be united together in prayer (Matthew 18:19-20). Wholeheartedly pray for others with true love and persistence. Paul asked for prayer for 3 things: against any persecution, for his services to be accepted and prayer for his journey to visit them.

That is a good example of three very important things to pray for our spiritual leaders.

Father God,
Thank You for opening up this very important truth to us today. We must be praying for our spiritual leaders. Help us to have the time and the desire to lift them to Your throne. We ask for Your will to be done in our prayer life. We ask for Your safety in our spiritual leaders’ lives, acceptance of them from others and for their safe journeyings. May they be blessed from on High with Your power to give Your word to those under their charge. May we continue to make time to pray daily for them. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
