Open Door

Revelation 3: 7-13 NLT  “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open:

8“I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. 9Look, I will force those who belong to Satan’s synagogue—those liars who say they are Jews but are not—to come and bow down at your feet. They will acknowledge that you are the ones I love.

10“Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. 11I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. 12All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name.

13“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.

Dearest and most holy heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your blessed holy word. You have given us a wealth of information in the pages therein. May we be sincere and diligent to study the scriptures.

Thank You, that no matter what happens in our world, You are in charge. We can have full faith that You have everything in control. It is so wonderful to have the trust in You as our Protector, Deliverer and Confidant. You are amazing. Thank You.

You will have Your will and way. We willingly ask You to have Your will in our lives. We lay all of our being down before You to be used by You in any way that You see fit. Thank You that You even deem us worthy to be used to further Your kingdom. We are indeed Your humbled servants. Mold us and make  us into what You want us to be. Let us reach whoever You want, whenever You want  us to. We will walk through any door that You open for us. Please close any door that You do not want opened in our life.

Open our eyes, that we not be blinded to those who profess Christianity but their hearts are far removed from You. May we always respond in love and true knowledge of You, so that hearts, that are far off, will see You in us and come to You.

Thank You, that You have promised to rescue us from the great tribulation. May we realize that the great day of Yours is getting closer and closer. Help us to live our lives shining so brightly for Your glory! In Jesus’ name! Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

  1. Good morning, Donna. I love your chosen scripture today. And I agree so wholeheartedly that “It is so wonderful to have the trust in [God] as our Protector, Deliverer and Confidant.” May He richly bless you this day as you walk in His way. Please add my cousins, Cliff & Janine, to your prayer list as He breathes his last and I pray for his peaceful and pain-free transition through that Open Door.
